Tough to have it both ways but 75 yr olds do not want to look even older. So, I wear them for walks and something much slimmer, maybe even leather soles , if "dressing up" and not walking much."

As my fleet of Feragamo shoes wear down - I know where I'm headed. They do last a long time however, so be patient. . ."
